Purpose 1
Used as a plasticizer for alkyd resins, cross-linking agent for synthetic resins, fungicide, etc., and can also be used to produce 1,4-butanediol, etc
Usage 2
1,4-butenediol is a pesticide and pharmaceutical intermediate used in the synthesis of organochlorine insecticide endosulfan, the intermediate endosulfan alcohol.
Usage Three
It is mainly used as an intermediate for producing pesticides, agricultural chemicals and Vitamin B6, and a small amount is used in polymer production.
Preparation method
Method 1
The preparation method is catalyzed hydrogenation of 1,4-butynediol to obtain 1,4-butenediol.
Mix 40% butynediol aqueous solution with 50% Lanni nickel, add inhibitor ammonia water, and introduce hydrogen gas at a pressure of about 0.5kPa until the theoretical hydrogen absorption capacity is reached. Filter, distill the filtrate under reduced pressure, and collect the fraction at 110-114 ℃/8kPa to obtain 1,4-butenediol.
Method 2
It is obtained by catalytic hydrogenation of butynediol. Mix 40% butynediol aqueous solution with 50% Raney nickel, add ammonia water as inhibitor, and conduct hydrogen flow at a pressure of about 0.5MPa until the theoretical hydrogen absorption capacity is reached. Filter, distill the filtrate under reduced pressure, and collect the fraction at 110-114 ℃ (8kPa) to obtain butene glycol.
