Pregabalin belongs to non γ- Aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor agonist or antagonist is a new type of calcium Ion channel regulator, which can block voltage dependent Calcium channel and reduce the release of neurotransmitters. It is mainly used clinically for Neuralgia related to diabetes peripheral neuropathy, post herpetic Neuralgia and auxiliary treatment of adult partial Seizure, generalized anxiety disorder, central Neuralgia (including Neuralgia associated with spinal cord injury, stroke and multiple sclerosis) and Fibromyalgia.

Pregabalin is a neurotransmitter γ- Analogues of aminobutyric acid (GABA), trade name Lyrica. In December 2004, FDA approved Pregabalin to be marketed as a drug for diabetes Neuralgia and Shingles Neuralgia. Pregabalin is the first drug approved by the United States and Europe to treat the above two kinds of pain at the same time. In June 2005, Pregabalin was approved as an adjuvant treatment for adults with local epilepsy. In March 2006, the European Union approved Pregabalin to treat generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and social anxiety disorder (SAD).
Indications
Pregabalin is mainly used for the treatment of peripheral Neuralgia and auxiliary Sex therapy of localized Seizure.
